Opportunity is defined as a “good chance for progress” or a “situation favorable for attainment of a goal”. When we consider what opportunity is as it relates to instruction we know that every student has a path available to them; that it in fact exists for them to receive an education. The question as it relates to instructional equity is “Does every student have the opportunity to receive a high-quality education with the availability of a plethora of diverse resources?”.
